Target

Since I am officially employed in The Mines at a sport shoes shop located at 4th floor with Jun Meng. I guess getting myself an Xbox 360 250 GB Slim is no longer a huge issue. I’ll try my best to achieve my dream in about 2 or 3 months with more than half of my salary.

I’ve made a short calculate and discovered that my total salary is about RM864 and above. Not to mention, I’ll get bonus during the Chinese New Year festival though I couldn’t spend time with the girls, but whatever. My current feeling is sort of excited and nervous. I don’t really know whether if I can overcome every consequence during work. I might get scolded or maybe encounter an embarrassing moment. We’ll see.

So far, I'm kind of fed up with the other jobs that never actually gave us any response. I think they should have at least sms us that they don't have the intention to hire us. Otherwise we'll end up giving ourselves a fake hope or keep wasting time sitting at home just to wait for their phone call. This is call responsibility.

Christmas Eve

May your Christmas be filled with joy and happiness. Best wishes for now and the coming year.

Merry Christmas! :D

PS:/ I did not enjoy it. In fact, this is the worse Christmas I ever had in 17 years.

Details

One more week to go before Youth Alpha VIII is officially running with 28 returning youths from previous seasons. I’ve met the contestants whom Mark & I are going to compete with when we had a rehearsal the other day, which coursed me 2 hours late from a dinner with friends at Milwaukee. This season features 4 Muslim youths from Season 3; Ida & Natasha and Daniel & Zulkifli. African Malaysian siblings from Season 4; April & Jonathan. Hungarian Malaysian blondies from Season 7; Paula & Wendy and Sarawakean friends from Season 6; Anita & Vincent and Blythe from Season 7. Others are being Chinese and Indian. It should be fun with different races in the game.

The picture above is what we called a “leaderboard”. The leaderboard serves as a schedule indicates how long the team survives throughout the program. Well, this schedule is planned and created by George, our producer, as he showed it to us during the rehearsal. So, I copied it with Microsoft Office. I was so surprised at Leg 5, though. I think that’s a double elimination. Although the schedule says 10 legs, but I guess we probably will be away from home for more than 10 days due to travelling time (unless we lose earlier).

Vacancy

My high school life will be ended on next Monday, 4:30 in the afternoon. I no longer have to wake up early when the sun is still asleep, dressing the old boring school uniform and carry a bag on my back which stored with heavy books.

It’s time to begin a new chapter of my life for the next three months before I can get my SPM certificate. I was in a mission searching for a job a couple of days ago with several friends of mine; Jun Meng, Wen Sern, Yushen, Pai Kai and Tiong Hong, in The Mines. I’ve to say that our attempt did not fail us; all of us have found at least one job, but we still need to wait for their response though I think they won’t call us anyway. So, I guess this is just temporarily good news for us.

I’ll continue my mission in Mahkota Jusco, just in case. I don’t really mind the salary to be honest, as long as I’ve something to do rather than staying at home become mildewed like a bread, it’s fine.

Freedom

I can smell my freedom not a quite distance from here, this mean that my SPM year is almost over once this remaining lame subject has accomplished; Economics. Time flies by very swiftly, we kept complaining how the time moved so slow as a snail during our first day of SPM trial. Now, we just need to wait for another week before we can officially burn our books down.

I don't know how to describe my current feeling in words. Sometimes i feel very excited but sometimes i don't. It's like a roller coaster, up and down repetition. I think it is because the world has lose the lively noises and activities. Everything is just the same old route as a radio with record function.

Blog

It has been a year plus since the first time I started to blog about my life. I’ve to admit that whenever I browse through my older posts, I frequently find myself laughing at my so called proper grammar or confusing sentences that I don’t even understand what I’ve written. Apparently, my writing skill is getting better each time the time passes after making a self improvement by watching English movies, reading novels and playing video games. In some cases, I learnt from my English teacher, Pn. Habibah.

Now, my blog has consisted of 215 posts and still counting. If I despite my lousy grammar when browsing through the older posts, I would realize that I’ve put myself in a jolly life with several best friends and relatives of mine. Yes, blog is a webpage where I could trigger my mind; flashback everything from what I've attempted, both in positive and negative.

Concurrently, blog does help me reduce stress by expressing my feeling towards a thing or a human including anger, sadness and even jealousy.

Memories serve as a treasure in our life. I wonder how would i express when i get older and have a look at my blog again :(

Life’s Brief Candle

This poem introduced in our life during our junior year of high school back to 2006. The poem itself does make sense from up to down and teaches us how we must appreciate our life as we only given one chance to live. For me, I see my life as a drama show that usually shown on TV every weekday, we couldn’t light out what sort of consequences will visit us regardless of good news or bad news.

This afternoon, I discovered one of my favorite YouTube entertainers died from a deceased. What makes it worse is that he already ascended into heaven for almost a year, leaving me unknowingly about his loss. Until now, I still couldn’t accept the fact that he has gone, gone for eternity, no more exchanging messages habit. He seemed perfectly fine when I watch his last video where I learnt about his death through the comments. As always, showing his generous smile and happily enjoy filming himself in Japan.

Rodger Swan, died at the age of 23 in Hanamaki, Japan. I stumbled across his videos by accidentally while I was searching a video about Shenmue (an Xbox game) last year. Learning that he had several common interests with me such as loved Japanese horror movies, liked English literature, enjoyed playing Shenmue games, fond of Japanese culture including manga and anime. I quickly felt interested on his future videos after that. All of his videos dedicated to his life in Japan as an exchange student in Tokyo, later a year or two, as an English teacher of three different schools in Hanamaki. Other than that, he also did review for Japanese horror movies.

This guy DOES NOT deserve to be taken away, not in a young age nor having a pure heart. You can see him smiling all the time by watching his video and trust me; it was a natural smile. Starting from January, I never seen any new video of his pop out from my subscription and I assumed that he must be very busy. Then, the truth came out… and it is the saddest thing I ever learnt…

R.I.P Rodger Swan

If you happen to be a Japanese lover, you should watch his videos either on Yotube (simply type Tokyo Swan 1) or on his blog which can be found in my Bff's list on the right hand side.…

I've learnt one thing from his death; when you wanna achieve your goal or fulfill your dream, just go for it, don't wait as time won't stop by and say hello to you... This is why i said enjoy your life to the maximum...

A memorial video that made from a fan. It touches me multiple times...

Today, I learnt about a young Malaysian guy who took his own life after being broke up with his girlfriend. Did I feel sorry for him? NO. I told you before; whoever commits suicide with any reason is an idiot or just a coward and not supposed to be sympathy with. Instead, I’d laugh them for choosing a real stupid decision. I can't believe that some people actually treat him like a hero. I mean, he gave up his own life just because of lost love? WHAT THE FUCK? Then what about Rodger whom trying to inspire the world but died very abruptly? Human can be real stupid sometimes..

Present & Future

The time is clicking and 2010 is gonna fly soon, I am currently sitting for a huge exam of my life with more than 1000 students across Malaysia, namely SPM. This exam would determine our future route whether if we had the potential for continuing our education in University or College, so it’s normal if you see someone in stress. However, majority of SPM candidates including myself are in a delighted mood throughout the exam as if nothing happened at all. It’s not a bad thing, though. Being relaxation could help us think positively which able to bring advantage during the progress of an exam.

For me, the exam has no different compare with ordinary assessments. The only thing that makes this different was the name, SPM. So far, I had completed 6 subjects, leaving only 3 elective subjects remain untouched, for some, 4, if the candidate picked Chinese language. In truthfully, Lee Cheng and I only left 2 since we decided to skip Account, one of the useless subjects that are completely unrelated to our goal.

I’ve the spirit that I probably will get at least one “A”, three if I was lucky for those subjects that I really paid a lot of efforts on its. For now on, achieving “A” is no longer a matter, as long as I manage to pass the minimum requirements in order to join my dream school, SAE Institutes, I’ll be glad.

After this exam, I shall enjoy my Christmas week along with my dear family and friends before setting off for a serious competition, Youth Alpha Season 8. A graduation party for 5A is a MUST program in my thoughts. We currently would like to make this happen at Bukit Merah, Taiping. All thanks to Rahiman’s suggestion which seems fun and ton of activities awaiting for us to be performed. Although I knew the amount would be incredible expensive and shocking, but… money is not the matter but the strong FRIENDSHIP and BRO/SISTERHOOD.

A Trip to Penang- Day 1- Part 2

Relatives Visiting
------------------------------
Together we went out for breakfast along with Dennis at eight in the morning. We returned to the restaurant where we used to eat back to 2006 and 2007. The service was sucks as ittook them so long to notice that we haven’t ordered any drinks. Besides that, some of them had no manners too. We ate a few plates of simple dim sum and other foods like Curry Noodle and Chicken Rice. My mom bought two packets of Wan Tan Mee for the sleeping couple at home while my uncle bought Kue Tiao Soup for my grandaunt whom suffering from illness.

Once we were back, the youngsters like me mustered around in the room to discuss where we should go after we had wash up, still, we currently had no special plan. Then my father said that we should visit his younger brother and his family in Chai Leng Park, and my face was like “nooooo!” because I hated their sons who were my cousins.

(My father was the owner of this house before he officially soldit to his younger brother once my grandfather passed away, lots of dramas occured)

It didn’t take long when we reached their house since it only 3km far from my 4th grandaunt’s house. Daniel and my parents introduced some places to Ah Ying such as the places where my brothers used to visit when they were kids before I was born; it was quite annoying, though. We got a “warm welcomed” from my cousins and aunt. As I stood in the house, there was a huge television placed near from the main door, and Inoticed that there was a slim version of PS2 resting on the floor. There was another smaller sized television placed on the opposite side beside thecomputer. And two sets of cushions placed between them, each facing at one TVs. The whole setting looked like an airport ==

It just passed five minutes and I already got bored and irritating cause my parents chatted with my uncle and aunt in high volume. Plus, their sons were like a wild animal where they screamed and running around the house for nothing. Luckily, there were numerous Doraemon comic books for me to read. Soon later, we were planning to cross over the infamous Penang Bridged to the Penang Island. But the plan was cut off and delayed because my parents received an unpleasant news that my father’s uncle suffering from nose cancer which caused his eyes went blind.

So, we proceeded to his house at Kulim along with both of my uncle and aunt. Weird, wasn’t this supposed to be a trip? How come it turned to family visiting? His house was nice, but a little empty that you could produce encore whenever you speak. His daughter and granddaughter were there too, making the house looked like a minor party. It seemed that our main character was my father’s blinded uncle. But for some reasons, the main character suddenly switched to a place in Cameron Highlands where they talked about their plan to Cameron Highlands during the next Chinese New Year.

(The man in white shirt is the patient)

It was noon when my parents decided to leave and have lunch with my uncle and aunt. We went to the nearby famous Duck Rice restaurant where we ate Duck Rice (duh). My father described the restaurant as “famous”, supposedly the Duck Rice must be delicious, but I tasted nothing special, literally nothing special. After that, we returned to Chai Leng Park and the “Concert” back to live again, so freaking noisy ==

I didn’t know how much times had flied away since I fell asleep as my brothers and Ah Ying were reading comics and my parents… you know, having a concert with my uncle and aunt. My cousins went out for tuition except the eldest one, who had dropped out from school and went out for work at a shopping mall called “Pacific” since then.

Eventually, my parents stood up and decided to leave (I’m gonna thanks Jesus for that). We went to my eldest grandaunt’s house which just across the street at the back. And I continued exploring my dream world as my parents had another concert with my grandaunt. Fortunately, the visit was shorter than the previous ones and we off to Bukit Mertajam for lunch number 2.

Our lunch number 2 was the infamous Asam Laksa, ABC, Hokkien Mee, Fried Mee and Curry Mee. Trust me; if you’re not a big fan of spicy food, Penang is not a tea of cup for you. Although the weather was quite warm, but nothing could stop me from filling my stomach with these spicy noodles, lol. Being as a normal girl, Ah Ying said that she guarantee will gain lots of weight from these unstoppable meals.

Our final stop was at my 6th grandaunt’s house which just located near my old secondary school, SMKBBSL. Similar to the prior visits, boring as hell, the only persons that actually enjoyed was my parents. Later on, we returned to Tambun intended to unlock the door as we failed the task last night, still, no luck with us and eventually gave up. We spent the remaining evening napping at the flat where we lived last night. I was so frustrated that why we had to end up like this? Simultaneously, I missed KL and my friends, acted like I got trapped in another world…

The sun had already sunk down to the west when I finally woke up from napping. Since we unable to unlock the house where we supposedly sleep in our original plan, my father decided to spend the remaining days at his younger brother’s house. That was the time when I felt like wanna commit suicide. I kept complaining that I shouldn’t come. Why Wen Sern, Why? Why you didn’t inform me that you only went to Melaka for one day?! D:

Before we officially moved to their house, my brother brought us to the shopping mall that I mentioned earlier, Pacific. Apparently, the shopping mall looked like an indoor night market to me. It was as confuse as Sg. Wang. That’s why we off to dinner after 45 minutes of wandering around aimlessly. We went to a restaurant which used to be a cinema back to my parents’ period. We ate lots of foods that I couldn’t recall their names. Well, just view the pictures below which already forward the message.

Since there was no any other activity that we could perform as it was already quite late, we revisited my uncle, aunt and my cousins. Luckily, we were sent to an aircond room where it used to belong to my late grandfather who had passed away when I was Standard 6. Because of that, all of my family members had gone to bed except for me and my cousins. Forgot to mention, I brought my Xbox with me as well. So, we played “Ninja Turtle” in 3 players before I gone to bed.

A Trip to Penang- Day 1- Part 1

I decided to describe this lame trip that i had few weeks ago since i was bored and intended to type something very eagerly. This post might break the record for being the longest post ever in my blog. So, be prepared to suffer the confusion, lol. Sorry for the crappy quality for the photos given, i utilized my mobile phone to shoot. Day 1 is separated into 2 parts.

Insomnia
-----------------
It took me some times before I had finally finished packing my stuff for the 3 days 2 nights trip to my hometown, Penang, the second smallest state in Malaysia after Perlis. Actually, it didn’t really consider as a trip to me since I had visited this state for countless times and eventually get bored of it. Moreover, I was born in Penang and used to stay there for about two years in 2006 and 2007. I don’t exactly know what the main purpose was for going back there, though. In addition, one of my classmates, Nishallini, also went to Penang to attend her relative’s wedding ceremony on the same day as me, lol.

It was night time when we officially embarking on a journey to Penang, I couldn’t attempt almost everything in the car under the moonlight. All I did was sms-ing with Nisha and Nina; it was an incredible boring journey if you asked me. But thanks to my eldest brother, Daniel, who drove in great speed which only took us 4 hours to reach there.

Once there, it was already one in the morning. That was the time where my luck started to fade off. Our original plan was to stay in my grandma’s (the one that staying in Sg. Long) second house which took place in Tambun. Unfortunately, we couldn’t unlock the main door due to the lock had some sort of problem that we couldn’t rotate the key. So, my mom suggested that we should stay at one of our relative’s house and come back and try again by tomorrow.

I wasn’t really pleased when I heard this idea as I disliked staying at my Penang relative’s house. In truthfully, I DISLIKED them. At first, my mom tried to contact my 6th grandaunt since their house was the nearest from where we were. Somehow, none of them answer the phone. So, my father contacted his only younger brother. Unfortunately, his son’s friends beat us first. Later, my mom managed to contact my 4th grandaunt and eventually found a place for us to rest for a day.

It might sound like good news, but…. my 4th grandaunt’s house was a flat, which seemed like a small room for hamster. There was only one room provided, another one was belonged to my grandaunt and her husband. We got no choice but half of us required to sleep in the living room on the couch. My mom, Daniel and his girlfriend, whom I referred her as Ah Ying, slept in the room while Dennis (my elder brother), my father and I slept on the couch. For some reason, I’m the only one who couldn’t get my eyes closed. So, I grabbed out Nina’s novel that she borrowed me in school and intending to finish it by that night.

Hours later, it was already five in the morning, and my eyes were finally ready to shut down. Haplessly, the mosque nearby the flats started to alarm the Muslim prayers, caused me unable to sleep at all. I pulled myself up from the couch and decided to wait till the sun rises up. During that time, both of my parents and my uncle had woke up.

12. Desiree & Elena (Season 6)
13. Blythe & Solomon (Season 7)
14. Paula & Wendy (Season 7)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our producer, George has decided to dub this season as “The Aftermath” instead of “All Stars” since sound very ordinary, lol. The list above are all the 14 chosen teams from past editions stage a comeback for the upcoming season of Youth Alpha which will be held in this late December. Surprisingly, every contestant are at least 17 and above, this makes me, Mark, Sean, Tiana and several other participants become the youngest contestants for this season. This season is also the second installment to include non- Christian youths while Season 3 being the first.

This season features 25 most frustrating tasks from past installments. In my season, there were only 2 tasks that actually frustrated me, Community Service and Fund Raising, introduced in Klang. Both of these tasks nearly got Mark & I get eliminated sooner than our original final placement, 5th. Now I need to close my palms and pray to God that I won’t visit these tasks again which might ultimately fail my team. The rules are quite strict this time, last time we were allowed to bring handphone and laptop or whatever as we travel around. Now, no more, all those technology stuff must stay at home. :C

Swim

This morning I went for a swim with 6 other male friends of mine; Pai Kai, Lee Cheng, Jun Meng, Tiong Hong, Kah Chin & Yih Su, near at Chee Keong’s house which is a condo in Sg. Long. I actually don’t feel like wanted to take participate since I hated being half naked in public, but after a second thought, this could be our last outdoor activity before the arriving of SPM, so why not?

The activity was kind of fun but nothing special at all, really. The only funny thing was that Jun Meng has a phobia of water which sort of surprised me as I thought he was just joking around. He seemed very afraid to stand on solo in the middle of the pool, caused him spent most of his time at the side pool only. We did try to teach him the basic method to swim. However, due to his scared meter was incredible high, he unable to relax his body while teaching him to float. Jun Meng is afraid of anything as I recall our previous activities, he’s afraid of dark, height, dog and now the newest discovery; water.
The pool was as cold as an ice as if I were being trapped in the Atlantic Ocean where more than 300 Titanic victims died from hypothermia. That was weird actually, swimming pool supposely to provide warm water, but how come this one has special “treatment”? Poor service I guess. I kept trembling throughout the whole afternoon even though my body had dried out. Plus, today was a windy day, increased the coldness to the maximum. That's why i was very afraid to get down to the pool for once again. Although i did in the end, lol.

The rest of the time we were just chatting about school life or just intending to throw someone down to the water. Lol. The activity ended with a short lunch at a Mamak Store in Sg. Long.

InFamous 5A

2 more months before 30 of us finally grow a pair of wings and set a journey to different path in the real world. It’s been quite an interesting year as we have gone through from the early January ‘till present. We have share in our joys, tears, dramas, as well as ups and downs within these 10 months. Those are the only reasons of why I couldn’t unfold a 100% of delighted face when comes to graduation. In my personal opinion, I always see 5 Amanah as the most fascinating class among the Form 5 classes because of;

Colorful Character
--------------------
Numerous of characters can be seen in 5A. The first would be class clown; this title should be granted to either Pai Kai or Jun Meng as they like to provoke jokes in the class occasionally. Though the Malay boys do tell joke, but mostly none us could really get their line or maybe the joke is kind of offended, lol. A rebel gang, this is directly demonstrated to all the “Six Club” members as we often disobey to the class teachers regardless how high is their status in SMKBBSL. Nerd, when I think of that, my mind would just picture of Yih Su, Jing Guan and several other students. Like seriously, they always maintain their high ranked seats in every assessment, totally crazy! Drama queen, nobody could snatch away the 5A's drama crown from the Chinese girls such as Kai Yeng (whom we normally refer her as Miao Miao) and Xue Er (she somehow gained a nickname called 丰满). The girls usually scream in the class even though there is nothing really happen around, or maybe it does have, just a minor case. Narcissist, this only happen to Jun Meng, Kah Chin and sometime myself where we constantly praise ourselves for being the most attracting student in 5A. Novel buff, I could be the shining example for this, I spend my time (especially those classes that I dislike) on reading English novel instead of paying attention to the class. Artistic, Wen Sern and Gold Fish are probably the only students in 5A that actually enjoy drawing. Redeemer, Cindy is like my first female Angelic friend due to her innocent face and never swears. This is not a lie; I never ever heard of her saying “Shit” or “Kanasai” these two words. All of these characteristics combined into one just make the class as interesting as a horror movie <<< (for me, lol)

Spurious Affection
-------------------
Romance could be the most wonderful thing that can be found on earth, but when you come to 5A, you must have a second thought. Every kind of odd relationship that you name it probably has already occurred in 5A, such as interracial relationship. One of the most popular romance go to Gold Fish and her secret crush, Zim Zim : D Until now, none of the members from 5A could actually wipe this fact away from our mind. Another amusing interracial relationship happened on me and Shuhazlin; this was all caused by our form teacher, Pn. Maya. But for some reason, we both actually kind of enjoy being a spurious couple, lol.

In addition, some of us did manage to create FALSE relationship between Kah Chin & Xiao Xin, Jun Meng & Naomy, Lee Cheng & 丰满, Wen Sern & Cindy and Pai Kai & Zhi Ying. Do not take these in personal; it’s just a joke, of course. Besides that, 5A does have fake homosexual relationship; it’s me and Pai Kai, lol. We both do have a son, Wen Sern, and a granddaughter who happens to be a Gold Fish. What a happy family, LOL.

Facebook Community
-----------------------
I created a group on Facebook which specialized for all my fellow classmates in 5A. That group is meant for us to share our thought about school, discuss an event or forward an important message to one another, and yeah, we did utilize that group pretty well. Sometimes, I’ll re-edit our school examination schedule by using Microsoft Office to remove all the subjects that are unrelated to us, and then I’ll post it online and share to my friends which will help them reduce confusion. This is what I call a 21st century method. I must thanks to my fellow friends that actually make this group alive unlike other classes’ ones, which already dead like centuries ago. I also do hope that this group could help us strengthen up our strong friendship and never loosen even right after SPM ‘till eternity. I actually planning to create a community blog for us where we can post whatever we want, but I think it will fail badly since majority of us are not interested in blogging.

I wonder how would the next generation of 5A will look like? LOL

Retarded School

Ok, seriously, I’ve no idea how our so called headmistress actually became a mistress to SMKBBSL. I’m just curious; did she pass the requirement by seducing the government or something? Honestly, the reason why I wanted to get out from this school as fast as possible was all because of her. I always thought that no other schools could be worse than my old school in Penang, it turns out that I was wrong. Both of these schools somehow look like twins to me.

She has organized a various types of activity and created lot of rules from all these 3 years since I joined in during Form 3. By this recently, another two activities have released from her pea brain which specialized for the senior students. It’s a completely retarded idea where nobody actually willing to take participates; the activities are simply titled as “Subject Marathon” and "Gerak Gempuk”.

Subject Marathon is basically like what we saw on Astro where they air a drama show straight for few episodes whereas normally a single episode is shown, called “Movie Marathon”. Same thing to us students, we only attend one class for the whole day as they claim this could be a good helper for our upcoming SPM. Being as a normal student, of course we made a comment about how boring would this activity be.

Gerak Gempuk is an artificial assessment which will be lasted for a week. Though the activity has nothing different compare with actual assessments, but more than 60% of senior students care less about it and given us an opportunity to get holidays. Even for those students who did attend, majority of them just finish halfway or never been submitted the paper to class teacher. As for the result, this pissed many teachers off and scolded us we’re just wasting the sources on the earth. For their information, I think the ones that wasting the sources are actually teachers themselves. I can’t believe they have been working as a teacher for than 10 years or so and none of them could actually guess what we students are thinking. Pity, pity, pity.

Moreover, other schools had already held their fancy graduation day. What the hell are we Sungai Long senior students still doing here, like we’ve been stuck in the jungle getting fooled by a bunch of monkeys? How about our class photos that we had paid the fees for almost 300 years ago? It’s very funny when it comes to payment, the headmistress insists us to accomplish the work within a day or two, pretending that she is busy. Later on, it takes a century just to get our stocks from her.

Everyone seems to be nervous about the arriving of SPM. To me, I CAN’T WAIT FOR IT because I wanna RELEASE MYSELF from this DUMB SCHOOL!

Youth Alpha: All Stars Season

Do you still remember that Mark and I formed a team of 2 and participated to a church game called “Youth Alpha” back to 2009? Well, we both are given a second chance to do it again for a grand prize of 5000 ringgit since they’ve successfully installed this program up to 7 seasons and more than 100 youths had experienced this game. The 8 installment will be dubbed as “All Stars Season” (a.k.a The Aftermath) which means our Mr. Producer, George Harrison, intending to gather 14 teams of 2 from the previous seasons and join this game for once again. Fortunately, Mark and I have been chosen as one of the lucky teams as they categorized us as “the most interesting team ever” judging by our performances in Season 2, though I don’t know whether if it was true or not, lol.

Season 1 was held in late 2008 where 16 contestants were sent to Melaka as they had to accomplish some various tasks by solo. According to what I’ve heard during my second interview, Season 1 was entirely took place in Melaka, also a hometown to my best friend, Wen Sern, lol. In addition, all 16 contestants are above 18-years-old and the game was lasted about a month, longest time used compared to the future 6 seasons. The elimination was attempted by voting against each other, similar to “Survivor” which sounds a little unfair to me. In the end, a Chinese girl named Diane Chong won the game. What was the prize? I don’t know, lol.

Season 2 dubbed as “The Ride of a Lifetime” and made a major improvisation compared to the previous one in May of 2009. This time, the contestants were no longer work on solo and won’t get forced to “kill” one another. 6 teams of 2 (including Mark and I) had been chosen as one of the Season 2 contestants while the other 6 teams are actually from Penang. So, it was like KL VS Penang teams, lol. We travelled a total of 4 different location (or states) during the 2 weeks program; KL, Klang, Kelantan and Penang. However, some of us did not manage to visit all these places as they already got eliminated and were sent back to KL where the final winning team will be revealed. Fr. Valentine, who was our host and the only person that gained a full power to determine which team will be going home next judging by our performances in each task that given every day. Mark and I got 5th place (eliminated in Penang, day 2) and obtained ourselves a pair of Korean shoes as our prize for making it to top 6. The Penang team and also the youngest contestants (Form 1) among the 24 of us won the whole game which granted them a total of 3000 ringgit.

Season 3 begun 2 months after the second installment with 40 new faces of contestants. It was dubbed as “Talent Race” and was also the first season ever that opened for every youth to both Christians and non-Christians. Season 3 developed a new style of game where the contestants formed into 10 teams of 4 and entirely focused on “talent” such as drawing, singing and acting. Since I wasn’t include, so I have no idea who had won that season.

During the Christmas Eve of 2009, Season 4 followed the same concept as the original game where 10 contestants work on solo fighting to earn the title of “Faithfulness” to oneself. Yup, Season 4 was dubbed as “Faith” as the entire game only focused on “Bible Knowledge”. This Season was a little boring (at least for me) since the contestants spent the whole period in our church, never gone to anywhere.

I completely have no idea how did Season 5 and onwards look like since I no longer appear in that church after graduated from Sunday School. O gosh, can’t wait ‘till after SPM :D

First 3D Horror Experience

Some of us initially wanted to watch the first Asia horror movie in 3D during the day of Lee Cheng’s Early Birthday Celebration. Sadly, just like what I had expected, there were no seats available since it’s a Chinese horror movie and directed by Pang brothers (The Eye, The Recycle and The Messenger). However, despite the additional details, I think everyone wants to watch this movie just because of Rainie is in it, lol.

We pushed the plan a day after the birthday daytrip where only down to Cheng Yu and I was still interested to watch it, others were either tired or bankrupt after attempting a race during the trip. So, once I was home, I quickly made an online movie reservation for 2 seats in Jusco which will be held at 2:30 in the afternoon. What a coincidence, similar schedule to “The Other Guys”, lol.

The next day, we ended up late and forced to sit in front due to our reserved seats had been taken by other people. My first expression while we went to take the 3D glasses was; this probably would be my first and last time watching 3D movie in Jusco, because the glasses were filled with fingerprints that we had a difficult time to clean them out. Just right before the movie starts; I already knew there would be some idiots might scream around behind my back, and I was literally right. I’ve no idea what the heck were they screaming at, though, the movie is rated PG13 for God’s sake! Even the little girl in front of us didn’t even stir a bit. Some even worst, several Malay girls sitting at the side seats were laughing =.=

Basically, the plot for this movie is kind of lame, but it does forward us a moral value; karma, so I’d give it a total 3 stars though the brothers should improve their work in 3D effect.

Lee Cheng's Early Birthday Celebration

Seriously, it’s real annoying when it comes to this sort of event. Mainly you’re about to say goodbye to your golden kids in your wallet and probably going to be another tired day of yours. Pai Kai wanted to make the event happens at Times Square as some of us gave him a straight face since we have felt boring to that place. On top of it, the activities that he suggested were *sigh* which somehow made me feel like not attending is the correct decision. Eventually, after a roller coaster like discussion, we agreed to his plan and there were total of 8 of us attended; Lee Cheng, Wen Sern, Cheng Yu, Kah Chin, Pai Kai, Tiong Hong, Yushen and myself.

During the big day which was last Saturday; 2 days earlier to his actual birthday. A hapless luck stroked on us as we required proceeding to Times Square by dividing into 2 groups due to an unknown problem occurred at Lee Cheng’s side, consisted of Wen Sern, Yushen, Cheng Yu and Kah Chin. The remaining three of us carried a mission where we need to present ourselves at Sungei Wang’s Green Box before 10 since they had booked a room for sing K.

We ended up late and it was Pai Kai’s fault for rejecting changing the bus at the bridge which might buy us some time, but no worries, the room was still available, lol. Mean while, the others had finally arrived and we immediately split into 2 groups again. Yushen, Hong, Cheng Yu and I decided not to sing and off to window shopping and would reunion again at around 1 afternoon. Yushen quickly became our “tour guide” since he known these 2 shopping malls more than 3 of us do. We walked back to Times Square and went to bought 8 movie tickets of “The Other Guys” which will be held at 2:30.

We wandered around the mall searching for restaurant to have our breakfast. Eventually, Yushen suggested that we should ascend to the last floor where we could find a food court there. Honestly, I didn’t know anything about food court at Times Square, thinking that he might be mistaken with some other places. It turned out that I was wrong. Hong and I ate BBQ Chicken Rice while Yushen ate Curry Noodle (don’t you think that that was a little spicy for breakfast?). Cheng Yu didn’t eat anything, though, since he had spent his money on the movie tickets (he helped the other 4 guys paid whom we forgotten to get money from).

Later on, we went to LowYat, a mall which specialized sell computer accessories. It was very confusing as there was hundred of shops opened business while countless people crowded around. We spent like almost an hour for nothing but to follow Hong as if we were his bodyguards… He eventually found the graphic card that he was looking for and I wanted to thank God for that. However, he decided not to buy yet, not until after the movie due to laziness of grabbing the item up and down.

So, we went back to Times Square again intending to reunion with the other 4 guys at the cinema. Yushen and I were extremely exhausted after participating on a minor version of “The Amazing Race Asia”. We both desperately searching for a chair to sit, but most of them had already taken by other people. Then we couldn’t resist anymore and went to sit on the floor instead, lol. It was a good thing that I examined around the mall while resting. I spotted a Gothic Shop called “I-Socks” which boosted up my excitement mood. We spent a few 10 minutes visit before meeting up with the others.

Well, it didn’t take long when all 8 of us separated again as we intending to attempt different activities. I accompanied Cheng Yu for lunch along with Hong at the food court again. That was the time when we realized that it was totally wasting time and money for coming here since all these activities could have been attempted in Jusco.
No longer, it was movie time. The movie focuses way too much of comedian that I couldn’t even get what the main plot was about; it seemed like we were watching “Scary Movie” or “Epic Movie” or something like that. Well, I’m not the only one who said that, Lee Cheng, Cheng Yu and Hong agreed with me too. After that, we returned to LowYat accompanied Hong to buy his graphic card while I was totally drained out of mood and wanted to go home VERY eagerly.
Our final activity was having a dinner at “Nando’s” where I realized that the price wasn’t really that what I had expected, lol. It was incredible expensive. But since I told you before, once in a lifetime, don’t be so stingy, so why not? In the end, it cost us 140 ringgit, still, it was very worth. That’s it, we finally went back home by bus as some of us including me fell asleep during the journey.*It‘s quite long and very simple English, well this is not a novel right? So, why bother so much on using such a deep vocabulary when nobody even cares? Lol*

Second Life

It’s a good thing that I bought “The Sims 2” for the pc version even though many people have jumped out to play the newest installment. I used to play the original game when I was younger when it first came out in 2000, but I normally end up boring due to the lack of feature in the game.

On the other hand, “The Sims 2” is much more fun and real comparing to the previous one. Almost everything in the game has improved for the better where you can create your sim in multiple choices from hair to face, from eyes to mouth and etc. I also like the fact that your sim will eventually die in old age once their time has come, just like in REAL LIFE! To avoid game over, you must either adopt a baby or give birth to a new life if you’re married to an opposite sex. By doing this, your family won’t get cut out. Instead, it will continue your family’s generation over and over again.

I created a male sim whom I named him as Adrian Mars. It’s very obvious that he was named after me (Deric Adrian Loh) and Mars was taken from a video game character, Ethan Mars from "Heavy Rain". I first started off as a middle class single man where my account only got 20.000. But once a rich chick named Marisa came to my house, I already know who should Adrian marry to, lol.

The Mars Family's second house.

Yeah, they did marry in the end after a hard work of flirting, kissing and dating. Since there were two of them now, I need buy a bigger house in case if another new family member joins in. Luckily, by the amount of my account along with Marisa’s, I’m able to afford a fine 3-storey house for my family.

Adrian's teaching baby Cassidy to talk.

Weeks after weeks, the married couple welcomed their first born daughter, Cassidy Mars, named after the female lead character from a movie called "Sorority Row” . Having a baby is like hell where your sims normally focus on the baby more than themselves, causing them suffering from stressfulness, insomnia and so on. Marisa was fired from her job due to her average work and lack of consciousness; Leaving only Adrian to support his family. I had no choice but to hire a nanny, but it seems totally useless because I only saw the nanny wanders around the house in her baba nyonya outfit rather than doing her job.

This is how Marisa looks like when she gets pregnant and ready to give birth, lol. Take notice on the second picture and try to imagine that she's singing Wen's limited edition of "Poker Face" XD

Cassidy's looking after baby Sebastian (moral value of the day: Kasih Sayang) XD

A week later, Cassidy has grown up to kid status which makes thing much easier. However, they welcomed their second daughter in no time, Cheryl Mars, named after the female lead character from “Silent Hill 3”. Hell has reopened again. Fortunately, Cassidy has become a teenager where she could help her parents look after her sister. The bad thing is, the game has increased its difficulty since I need to look after a total of 4 sims.

The third and probably the youngest member of the house joined in right after Cheryl has grown up to kid. This time is a boy whom I named him as Sebastian Mars, named after a minor movie character from “Marley & Me”. Since my family has upgraded to a total of 5 members, I decided to build and design my own mansion. It’s still currently under construction, though.

The upcoming Mars Mansion!
