Kung Fu Fighting!

Finally! I’ve watched Kung Fu Panda 2 with some of my friends at Jusco Cheras Selatan’s TGV cinema. The plot is once again extremely funny despite the fact that there is couple of scenes successfully made my tears rolled down, yeah, I’m talking about the flashback how Po ended up becoming an adopted son to a goose. I also noticed that Viper, the snake, has bigger role in this sequel as she constantly pops up from nowhere fixing the correct direction for Po, whom always over-running when chasing an enemy. Computer animated film never disappoint me with their creative original plot and sense of humor. Too bad, I failed to watch this film in 3D.

Had a quick lunch at KFC, Lunch Treats set C: Chicken Rice.

Just 4 Fun!

Left 4 Dead series is dying with its repetitive mission and pointless game play. Somehow, I got motivated again when I successfully helped my cousins installed this game on their new laptop. Sadly, their laptop does not meet the minimum requirements. So, they might suffer a little when experience this product.

I’ve been playing Left 4 Dead 2 with Gavin for at least 2 times, this was his first online experience, so I wasn’t really surprised with his excitement and all that unnecessary screaming during the game play we had the other night. We were always crying for help when under attack by any special infected “救我啊!救我啊!" as if we were dying in reality. Stupid, but funny.
I’ve to admit that his poor skills did fail our mission while playing versus coop mode as human team. Still, I did not get mad unlike the usual me, instead, I was laughing around with his hapless luck. In just a short few minutes, he got attacked by 3 infected; pulled by smoker, charged by charge and ended with hunter’s strong pounced.

He is not a great player or maybe not even average, but game is meant for fun, I’d rather play with someone like him other than those retarded so-called professional players around the world.

It's a Long Long Day~

Guess what? It’s Friday, Friday, gotta get on Friday! Ok, I know this lyric is annoying as hell with or without the crappy music and stupid techno voice of Rebecca Black, but I had a fun day with friends even our original plan is once again failed to be performed.

Before I reveal how we failed, tons of funny and boring events occurred when we were at Taylor’s University during this sunny afternoon. Lee Cheng left us for his 2 hours culinary class while I went to collect detailed information for my future course: Mass Communication, accompanied by Kah Chin, his first time visitation at this huge university. I was quite nervous when it comes to asking question in English as Mandarin is my official intensive language (somehow, I can speak fluent English during tight situation, weird, huh?). I was told to fill my individual information on the computer nearby the main door and print it out for easier management. It took me 15 minutes to fill all the blanks, how come so long? Every time I almost done, I accidentally pressed the wrong button which took me to different page, I think I made the same mistake for 3 times, lol.

Right after I handed out the paper to the receptionist, she kindly told us to take a sit and wait for someone who actually responsible for the course that I tend to takes. An hour of patiently waits had passed, a lady in office suit showed up abruptly. The interrogation ended very fast since there’s nothing much I need to know for this course. We wandered around waiting for Lee Cheng finishes his class. Finally, Kah Chin was hungry and so we went to Old Town, Lee Cheng met up with us shortly after.
Good thing that I do not have to pay for these beverage and noodle xD

Next schedule was meeting up with Wen Sern at Midvalley, where we supposed to catch a movie that we were once failed to watch; Kung Fu Panda. But before we could catch a movie, the three of us were caught in a tight traffic jam on the road. It made no difference anyway; all seats were fully taken for almost every movie. We took this moment joking around inside the car; one of them was going back home leaving Wen Sern behind at the mall.

We eventually arrived at the mall about 2 hours later, Lee Cheng suddenly realized that there’s a cinema setting at The Garden shopping mall which just opposite Midvalley. We had a little trouble searching for that cinema, kept ascending the escalator ‘till we reached the top. Funny that nobody bothers to check the map. The cinema happens to be GSC Signature (I seriously have no idea what’s that only with the name of GSC). What a rotten luck, not a single seat was empty, yeah; we were doomed at that time. Love the glass wall built for the bridge between Midvalley and The Garden A free gift for Kah Chin! We walked ourselves to Midvalley and met up with the poor guy who was wandering around the mall aimlessly for 2 hours, I guess. We immediately had our dinner at Mc Donald where Lee Cheng and I suddenly planning out to take participate in The Amazing Race Asia; of course we have to wait ‘till we turn 21. Again, we wandered around the mall searching for a fine headphone for Kah Chin for Skype.

Real Life Pirates of Carribean

I don’t know what changed his mind in the end; we went to Rocker Star at The Garden where Wen Sern bought an album of System of Down which supposedly not meant to appear in Malaysia.

We decided to call it a day and went back home at 9 something. What a day~

Potential 2nd Job

Since I’ve no clue when I’m gonna start my college life, I went for a job interview at a video game department store in Mahkota Jusco which just located about 2km away from where I live. I seriously have no idea whether or not I should accept this offer for joining their company because; 1. Like I just said, I don’t know when my college life will start, it might be next week, next month or maybe tomorrow, I think they probably will condemn me if I suddenly wanna quit. 2. I kind of fed up with working life :P and 3, not the least, I HATE becoming an early bird! Lazy, you can call me. LOL!

Dead Island

Ever wonder what will happen if you and your family or friends are trapped on an island that supposedly meant for tourism with hungry zombies wander around scavenging for human fresh? Dead Island will fulfill your dangerous, yet, stimulating fantasy.

I’ve read amount of info about this upcoming RPG horror survival game on various sites. It’s said that this game is like a combination of Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead series. There are several interesting elements that attract me to get this game for Xbox 360 console. One of them is the multiplayer cooperative mode where up to 4 players can experience a whole new zombie apocalypse at once. I hope I can play this mode with a friend beside me without online; also, hope we can go wherever we want by separately. In addition, the game is an open world like Grand Theft Auto.

There are 4 playable characters with only 2 of them have been revealed;

Xian Mei, an Asian Chinese girl (never seen an Asian character since ObsCure 2's Mei & June) who works as a receptionist at the Royal Palm Resort. I wonder how is she going to slay zombies with those high heels, lol.

Sam B, a rap artist who takes a trip on the island.

The other 2 are Logan and Purna (I think she’s an African woman). This game might be the first horror game that consisted of international characters, which is good.

The trailer of this game looks quite saddening, but I bet the actual gameplay is nothing like that anyway :/

Gothic LifeStyle

Numerous people went for ice-skating.

Finally I’ve bought myself a nail polish at Sunway Pyramid when I had another outing with Lee Cheng, Jack, his Korean classmate, and Wen Sern. Although the color is not the one I was searching for, but I think dark purple is still compatible with black.

The nail polish itself costs me 53 ringgit as they said “it’s a famous brand with great quality”. Whether it’s true or not, I seriously have no idea and don’t really care much because this is Deric, who never open his eyes when it comes to purchasing.

I didn’t buy the base coat which is very necessary for nail polishing if you want to keep your nail healthy. The price is much shocking than Osama’s death; 500+ ringgit! Like what the hell? 5oo+ ringgit? I’d rather save that for Xbox, lol.

Anyway, I applied it on 3 of my nails. Apparently, my polishing skill turned suck after almost a year didn’t attempt any “beauty” painting. So, I decided to wait ‘till I got a cheaper base coat and nail polish remover (forgot to buy). Before I completely removed the color liquid by scratching out :( I went out for a dinner with my family as today is my mofo brother’s birthday. I dressed like a semi-Gothic style with a coffin bag beside me, and you know what? Everyone is staring at me like some what a freak show, it’s disturbing and uncomfortable. People, did your mother ever taught you staring is rude? :) Had lunch at a small Taiwanese-based-style restaurant in Sunway. That fried chicken can be seen at Sg. Long night market every Tuesday night =.= Well, the rice is nice, though.

Random Travel

Another random outing with Lee Cheng and Wen Sern during this cloudy afternoon. Although I’ve to say that it’s quite pointless, but at least I had a chance to assimilate fresh air considering that I’ve turned moldy and soon to be zombie after staying at home for more than 60 days.

We had a short visitation at Lee Cheng’s college, Taylor, and the college amazed me a lot as it looks like a Botanical Garden with the tranquil lake setting in the middle. Also, there are several department stores can be found somewhere around the building. What surprised me is that the library consisted of 5 freaking floors! I had never seen such a huge library in my whole life! After a short walk, we finally had a drink at Old Town, which is also apart from Taylor.

Haznut Coffee- RM7.50 T.T

We spent some times at Sunway Pyramid before heading back home, this is like the shortest shopping length ever, what a disappointment, lol.

RoadBlock!

I went out for a simple drink with Lee Cheng, Wen Sern and Jun Meng at a mamak store at Mahkota (typical Malaysians isn’t it?). The drink was all about stories telling, like you know, talking about our current life, ditching someone that we hate and… yeah, just like that.

But today’s topic is not about the drink; instead, something quite funny had occurred when we were heading back home at around 1:30 am; a group of police were patrolling around the main entrance of Taman Rakan where Jun Meng and I live. Well, we shouldn’t have to worry about it because we didn’t do anything illegal until we realized that Jun Meng didn’t bring his ID card. Luckily, Lee Cheng managed to make a quick turn where we ended up stuck at the PETRONAS Gas Station along with an African couple parking next to us whom we assumed they probably must be facing the similar fate with us.

Jun Meng made a phone call to his parents so that they could bring his ID card while the rest of us waited patiently. I was goofing around as if the whole situation was just a joke. When everything seemed fine, a police van drove in from where we came from and parked next to us. I actually thought their shift was over and coincidentally came here to buy some snacks, but turned out that they came here on PURPOSE. One of them stepped out and followed by the others with a flashlight in their hand. They kindly asked us to leave the car while another was inspecting Lee Cheng’s car license and questioned him “Still wanna go where in this hour?” I’m sorry, but this is a free country, why must he know our privacy?

Anyway, Jun Meng’s parents arrived few minutes later before the check up ended. Nothing big actually, just kind of funny as you could see how tension Jun Meng was.

Mother's Day

It’s once in a year celebration to all the mothers in the universe. My eldest brother, Daniel, held a minor celebration at a seafood restaurant called “Fei Lou Hai” which just located few miles away from The Mines shopping mall complex. This restaurant might sounds familiar to those long term Cheras residents as it is very famous with crabs and not to mention, the lake view where customers could feel a faint breeze and enjoy their dish simultaneously, though the weather nowadays already scrapped down this benefit. Still, the restaurant is constantly full.

So, yeah, it was there when we had our fine dinner as a family, yet, boring, since none of us actually were there, I mean, technically, we were there, but our hearts, were somewhere else because we didn’t speak a word until we got back home.

Right after a waiter led us to our seats; he immediately served us with soured peanuts and moisture towels (meant for after meal). Classic.

Our first dish was fried rice with some additional spices in it. I don’t know what they called this in English, but it’s tofu with wild mushrooms. Hmm… just like a homemade dish.

Fried buttered squids.

Steamed African fish.

And finally, the infamous crabs with chutney (sweet and hot sauce). The sauce can be too, compounded with baked British bread.

The whole meal cost Daniel a total of RM183 by EXPECTEDLY.

A mother and son were feeding the cat fishes by the lake. A similar scene where you can see in The Mines.
