Welcome to Office World

Working in an office wasn't really that fun as what I had thought earlier, it was rather boring and somehow, would bring you the thought of “life, is shit” when you present to your office every single day.

A month ago, I first stepped in the office world working as a part time admin clerk in Cavenzi Design Company under Special Task Department, which also fairly known as High Quarter office. Yeah, I know, the name sounds like a department that meant for experts, but don’t get the wrong idea, on the inside, it has nothing really “special” at all, in fact, I bet even a primary student could handle my tasks very easily like 123.

By the time I joined in, two of my friends, Harry and Emily, were officially became my co-workers. Harry was assigned to Audit Department, where else, Emily was in ABC Department along with Nina, who joined  in last. So, I wasn't alone after all although I always chose not to hang out with them during work.
This is my desk and some paperworks

Initially, my office only ran by two staffs, Mrs. Lee and myself. Despite Mrs. Lee’s age is older than me and also a mother; we get along quite well and willing to share our background stories at times. On top of that, Harry happens to be one of her relatives. Weeks later, two more staffs were added in; Uncle Tai and Rosmeri. They are all married and have children of their own, making me the youngest staff in that department. Pity me for working with a group of seniors? Not really, I had so much fun instead. Uncle Tai may be just another ordinary man you see at the street. Truthfully, I described him as a softcore gamer; he is addicted to Facebook games like Ultimate Avengers and Hidden Chronicles. Same thing goes to Rosmeri, she is fun and we mostly would joke about stupid things just to reduce boredom even though she is Malay.
Kumar, another favourite friend of mine who came from Nepal :)
Well, this is my second desk and lousy computer when I switched to ABC Department

So, what does an admin clerk do? Well, most of our tasks are quite simple, yet, complicated for beginners. Our tasks involved with checking bills and amounts, key in reports, file in, and sometimes, we had to call warehouse or showroom. Due to Cavenzi is a "Satu Malaysia" company, Bahasa Malaysia temporary became my first language during work, kinda stress, though.

Backie Backie~

I honestly can’t believe myself that I’m gonna revive this frozen blog again! Well, my life wasn’t really plain and white in these past few months as if I’m an anti-social guy that only spends my time minding other people’s business on Facebook. You see, I do hang out with old and new friends, I have (had) a job and is still perfectly healthy and active… on the internet, LOL. Anyway, I’ll update my story as often as I can like I used to, (only apply when my mood is sunny). See you soon ;)

Excuses & Blah Blah Blah

I was quite surprised when Chee Keong called me the other day to have a reunion dinner with the rest of the former class 5A Chinese boys. My thought was “hey, that’s a brilliant idea!” and immediately, I posted an invitation on Facebook.

Initially, the plan was working out fine as all boys except one were added to “I’m Going” list; Tiong Hong was unable to go since he has a job now, which is fine and reasonable. Since then, we tried to make the best arrangement for everyone for over three days including transportation, time and venue.

All of a sudden, I had to scrap out Jing Guan’s name from the list as he said “dinner with family on the very same day.” I was pissed, like hello? Where’s your first come first serve basis? Then, the chain reaction began, Pai Kai claimed he had assignment waiting to be completed, hence, he quit. For whichever assignment he brought up very abruptly, would it kill you just to spend a couple of hours with friends?

If there was an academy award for the most ridiculous excuse in history, this guy --> Yih Su, commonly known as Jagung would win it, hands down. He said “he was robbed, ran out of money, not going.” Seriously, I don’t think coincidence is the best English word to describe his situation. If you were robbed, but still eagerly wanted to meet your buddies, you probably would try your best to not disappoint yourself, instead, he sounded like “I don’t have money, not going, kbai.”

On top of that, I found out that he went out with another group of his friends during the same night. So, where did he get his money? Ask God.

Next time, if you don't feel like going, just spill your thought out, stop hiding here and there. Even if you're not tired, I am...

Another Reunion Dinner

About 2 months later, my 2nd reunion dinner with the B.O.N.E.S. gang was finally held. Honestly, I wasn't really thinking about having a dinner with them considering that some of us might not make it due to working, studying and other not-so-convincing-excuses, our plan is occasionally break into pieces and pretend it never happened before. With the entire previous experiences sum up together, I’d rather save my energy for a rather simple occasion until Pai Kai suggested the idea of reunion dinner instead. Magically, everyone was free from the ice once I invited them via texting.

Despite the number of B.O.N.E.S. gang is 7, an additional “guest” joined our dinner as well, Gavin, my younger cousin, who visited me at the very same day for his Hari Raya holiday. It was actually a last minute plan when all of us nodded our heads; none of us had any idea where to eat or what time to go. Some of us including me would love to have a nice steamboat dinner at Mahkota like how we did during Pai Kai’s last birthday. While for some, they never uttered a word. Eventually, the venue was set at near Sunway, which is quite a distance from where we live (about 30-60 minutes apart).

Anyhow, we followed the exact same footstep like our first reunion dinner; Pai Kai, Tiong Hong, Jun Meng, Gavin and I all bucked into one car while Lee Cheng, Kah Chin and Wen Sern went on another. And in the name of Jesus, same thing happened again as we were lost on the way, but it wasn’t that worse if I compared with our original “tragedy”, at least we managed to catch up with them a few minutes or so later on. However, a new stupidity mistake is introduced; we went to WRONG restaurant. We set off at 6:30 evening; somehow, it took us almost 2 hours to get there.

The restaurant we went is a buffet steamboat as well as BBQ. Immediately after we took our seats, the lady boss set up the steamboat utensils for us, surprisingly, all of them turned out to be new sets. With only a few seconds while waiting for the soup to boil, some of us couldn’t bear themselves and rush to grab every kind of steamboat ingredient.

The BBQ souce

I was quite surprised when I realized they provide ice cream service as well

Dinner is served!

After dinner...

... cost us about RM214.

"38" Day

For the first time ever, I finally went out with Nina, Harry and Kenneth, three of whom are one-year-younger than me. Our outing was rather simple and mostly sitting and chatting. The plan was actually much more simplify than reality as I only thought of playing Left 4 Dead 2 in CC with them. Then, we subsequently had lunch together and several additional walking around the Mahkota district. We went to Gamer CC at around 2:30pm, we chose Gamer due to the fact that it was quiet than Mega. Moreover, Gamer has a second floor (which was closed by the time we went there), so, we kind of expected that there might be more rooms for us. Unfortunately, the longest combo seats for four people were three, which means that one of us had to sit alone. Since Kenneth wasn’t with us, yet (he had to travel on foot from Sg. Long to Mahkota), we left him alone and started the game without him. It was the first time for Nina to visit a CC and also a newbie to Left 4 Dead world next to Kenneth. Prior to our outing, Harry and I already taught her the basic rules of this game; stay together, she managed this instruction although I must admit that she has trouble aiming and controlling her character. For some reason, she could survive realism mode instead of normal version.
Kenneth came by shortly when we were about to start the third chapter of Dead Center. He claimed he did play this game before, but wasn’t really that good at it. He sat alone behind us, which was a big mistake as he clearly might have tons of trouble as Nina’s game play. On top of that, the microphone was broken, I couldn’t really communicate with them other than shout or type message. As a result, we couldn’t even success both the emergency alarm event at the mall and the scavenging at the atrium.

We left the CC at 5pm and walked ourselves to local Jusco. We had no purpose of going there, though, intending to wait for the time to pass ‘till 6pm. Before that, we went to the pet shop next to Jusco building where we fancied the hamsters; our main pet for at least three of us. Most of this time was just wandering around aimlessly. Except for Nina who bought an anime at a DVD store. Then followed by Harry and Kenneth competed each other in an Arcade game called “Taiko”. We had our lunch at Susan as I said earlier. It was an Italian restaurant where I first visited with Lee Cheng and Tiong Hong few weeks ago. It took us awhile before we finally decided to order our own meals with a regular sized Hawaiian Chicken Pizza.

Luckily I didn’t order mushroom soup; my stomach was about to burst with only a plate of Spaghetti Carbonara, a cup of strawberry & lime soda and two slices of pizzas. We sat there for almost two hours as we chatted about our school life, games including Left 4 Dead 2 and Fatal Frame. It was quite fun until a friend of Harry showed up, a rather self-proclaimed person who thought he is good looking and constantly judge other female’s facial look. It was annoying that eventually ruined my mood.

We went back to Jusco again, on our way there, I almost stepped on a dead rat lying on the street, thanks to Harry’s quick alarm. My mood was relieved when that “guy” was not with us. Coincidently, we met him again at the main door of Jusco. Bad thing was he followed us to the food court where we had a chat.
Apparently, the only people that actually talked were Kenneth, Harry and him. Nina and I were sms-ing each other despite the fact that she was just sitting next to me; we were vicious talk about that “guy” that we both disliked, lol. After awhile, he left. THANK GOD!
At this point, we did something stupid and embarrassing, at least for me. We proceeded to the Teenager’s department and randomly picked a new outfit and changed them just for the sake of taking photos. I never done thing like this before. But it was all about fun; it's ok to serve them as memories, lol.

We decided to go Harry’s house which just nearby to Jusco. His house was so dark that I couldn’t even watch my footstep, especially when ascending the stairs, who knows we might trip down. Once in his room, Harry tried to connect the internet via wifi but failed to do so. We blamed it was Nina who jinxed it, in a jokingly tone, of course. Nina was playing Warcraft when the boys were chatting on Harry’s bed. I must say that his room is quite comfortable with a big space like this, and I would like to stay in if I could, lol.
We went back home at around 10:30pm.

Cibo Italiano!

Few days ago, I had my lunch at an Italian Restaurant in Mahkota called “Susan’s Restaurant”, the name might sounds weird for a restaurant, but it was recognized in worldwide. The reason I went there was actually wanted to help one friend of mine, a very inconvenient one, Lee Cheng, in his culinary assignment where he had to do a full report of this Italian Restaurant. I didn’t really help him much, though.

The restaurant is small and peaceful with a soft music playing in the background. The day was still early when we arrived. So, we ordered drinks first; Steamed Milk for me, Cappuccino for Lee Cheng and Ice Lemon Tea for Tiong Hong.

We finally ordered some meals after an hour; it took us awhile for deciding our meals as we were so reluctant to off our budget. In the end, Tiong Hong ordered Spaghetti Bolognese and as for me, Spaghetti Cabonara and Wild Mushroom Soup.

The total costs me RM27. It was worth a price I must say, it was tasty and it fulfilled my appetite.

Childhood Memories ♥~

My younger cousins, Gavin, came back to his hometown all over from Kelantan with his parents the day before yesterday. Wait, it isn’t holiday yet, how come he came back here? Well, he has just enrolled to Montfort school to study Graphic Design for about 2 two years in Shah Alam. Seriously, I had never heard this school before until he told me about it; he said it’s an all-boys-school that runs like a military service, once you’re in, you cannot leave the school property unless there’s public holiday (weekend doesn’t accounted in). Yeah, sound like prison more than school to me.

I offered him to stay overnight at my house for one last time before he officially move in to the prison-like-school this Sunday. I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 with my friends by the time he arrived, he replaced me shortly after while I went to do some chores. Surprisingly, when I came back, his character was already dead by throwing him off the map. Somehow, my friends quitted the game, leaving only the two of us. I took this chance training his skills on both campaign and versus mode, he mostly has mastered everything, except the weapon choices and trouble aiming are his biggest weaknesses.

Time passed by very swiftly and it was already half past night. We walked on foot to a local PETRONAS Gas Station intending to buy some snacks for supper. We couldn’t believe that the department store at the gas station was closed! We put a high hope for Mamak Store instead at the back of Taman Rakan district; we talked a lot of our childhood pastimes when we both just stayed few streets away from one another and how we used to play together with other cousins. Now, everything has changed, quite sad, isn’t it?

Lucky us, the Mamak Store was still running, we ordered ourselves a plate of fried Maggie noodle and a cup of teh tarik. We didn’t spent much time at there since it was very warm that I sweated like a pig. After supper, we, again, walked back on foot and started watching Kung Fu Panda 2 in DVD. We played a few games before we went to bed, all these games were the ones we frequently played as a kid;

Airplanes Game

Gavin was checking out the letters that we were once wrote to each other before we applied internet

Snakes & Ladders

Checkers

UNO Jangle

Dominoes

His parents came to fetch him early in the morning the next day (which is today), gonna have to buy some supplies for school.

GOOD LUCK CUZ!

How Long Can You Survive?

Left 4Dead is a game that capable to bored and motivate you simultaneously. My friends and I are once again back on this zombie’s apocalypse online game this recently. However, we mostly focus on Survival Mode rather than normal campaign like we used to.

Survival Mode required fully trained skills in order to survive the unstoppable horde before we finally perish as the clock is clicking indicates our result. So far, our best result is 7 minutes and 55 seconds. Don’t laugh at us; some players around the universe are even worse than us. Its fun that we are bustling killing zombies and trying to protect one another as if we were in the game, we do strategize like who’s going to equip which weapon, placing the fuel tanks in correct places and stuff like that. Somehow, no matter how hard we strategize, we always screw up whenever a tank appears.

Since I’ve installed Fraps, now I can take picture or record our game play with our stupid commentary in it. Survival Mode is fun and stimulate, but if we keep on playing repetitive, we will get bored in no time, that's why we do play custom map at times. Custom map is basically similar to Campaign Mode, only the maps are created by Left 4 Dead fans and each of them is harder, longer, better and funner than the ones that Valve made. I personally love the Mario world as it's very challenging that we constantly have to jump from here and there. Charger, Jockey, Smoker and Tank can easily own us in this map :)

Reunion Dinner

☠Seven Bones☠
------------------
"Seven Bones" was once a famous but irritating and arrogant student’s community in class 5A of 2010. I described this community in such a mean word due to the fact is… I am telling you the facts, lol. “Seven Bones” is and still consisted of seven different guys from various background stories and interesting personalities in both negative and positive, the members are; Lee Cheng, Wen Sern, Pai Kai, Kah Chin, Tiong Hong, Jun Meng and I, myself. Sadly, we didn’t really have quite a chance hanging out together with all seven members present right after we had finished SPM. Today, it’s our chance.

We came upon this restaurant at Semenyih by divided into two groups since the amount of us were too much to fit in a single vehicle. It was Lee Cheng’s idea for having our reunion dinner at this restaurant, and trust me, don’t come here alone if you‘re afraid of darkness. By staring at the pitch black forest behind the car park, I had a chill. I sat in Pai Kai’s car along with Tiong Hong and Jun Meng while on the other side, Lee Cheng led us to this restaurant as he was the only person knows how to go. However, thanks to Pai Kai’s average driving skills, we were lost in nowhere when Lee Cheng drove off and we somehow missed them in our sight. Apparently, I was so doomed, as if a contestant in The Amazing Race Asia, the only difference is that, I wasn’t on camera. Anyway, we finally arrived sound and safety at least 20 minutes apart from the other group.

Throughout the whole progress, it was all about talking, laughing and eating. Exactly how we were during school days.
